People who write on social media about traveling are given the job of covering a 100-year-old Christmas parade in the small town of Carte De Amor, New Mexico. Caroline Williams is a well-known travel blogger. Oscar Ortiz, a high school music teacher, takes Caroline on a tour of a side of Christmas that she has never seen before. She learns about traditions and meanings that aren't the same as the ones she has seen before. Caroline falls in love with Christmas again and finds true love for herself in the twelve days before Christmas.
