Dave Kroupa's new girlfriend, Cari Farver, takes him by surprise when she begins sending him demanding SMS. Once Dave and Cari break up, Cari sends him a barrage of cryptic texts before disappearing completely. Liz, Dave's ex-girlfriend, starts getting abusive texts from Cari as well, putting them both in a potentially harmful position. Meanwhile, Cari's mom Nancy hasn't stopped looking for her, putting pressure on the police who make a startling discovery.
