The Golden Voices
It has been announced that Terrell Christian College (TCC) will host the "Golden Voices Competition" this year. However, there is one problem: TCC does not have a choir. Georgia Mae Jackson (Irma P. Hall), the head of the music department, has been challenged by the Assistant Dean Vickie Wilson (Tonea Stewart) to put together a choir in one month or risk losing her position as head of the department. When Georgia's back begins to hurt, she connives with her granddaughter, Sidney Nicole Taylor (Nikki Dixon), to have her take over the choir in her place. In order to assist her with the choir, Sidney recruits Jax Rebel (Mario Mims), a fallen, bad boy R&B singer who has a history of drug use and gang involvement. Following the discovery of Jax's tangled background, Dean Wilson threatens to fire Georgia if they do not come out on top in this year's tournament. Will Georgia's job be saved by the efforts of Sidney and Jax?
