While driving through the New Mexico Desert Within a Humid night Jim Halsey along with his girlfriend Grace Andrews Offer a ride into the hitchhiker John Ryder. The stranger turns out to become considered a psychopath threatening the couple using a knife while in their own vehicle , but Jim succeeds to throw him. On the morning after, the bunch sees John in another vehicle.
