Kaoruko and Kazumasa Harima have two children and are no longer together. They plan to get a divorce when their daughter Mizuho starts first grade. One day, they get the terrible news that their daughter is in a coma because she almost drowned at a pool. Doctors say she is brain dead and can't get better, so the couple must decide whether to give her organs to people who need them or wait until her heart stops beating.
