The Infernal Trio
Marseilles, 1919. Georges Sarret is a well-known and respected lawyer who was recently recognized for his work in the First World War. Philomène Schmidt, a young German woman who just lost her job and home, becomes his girlfriend. Georges finds Philomène a husband so that she can stay in France. The husband dies of natural causes a month after the wedding, making it easy for Georges. Georges does the same thing with Philomène's sister, Catherine. He marries her off to an old man who dies suddenly so that the three scheming people can get money from his life insurance. When Marcel Chambon, a partner in the scheme, threatens to blackmail them, Georges and his two lovers have no choice but to kill him and his mistress.
