The Judge and the Assassin
France, 1893. Joseph Bouvier makes an effort to take his own life after his fiancee's rejection of their marriage proposal. After being placed in a filthy asylum, he was eventually released, and while the bullets were still in his head, he began to travel the rural roads, where he raped and murdered a large number of adolescents over the course of several years. The judge Rousseau is successful in capturing him, but in order to further his own ambitions, he works to prevent Bouvier from simply being labeled insane.
