Dre Parker that was 12-year-old could have been the kid in Detroit, but the most current career move of his mother has landed him in China. The cultural differences make a friendship hopeless although dre immediately falls for his class mate Mei Ying. Worse, Dre's feelings make him an enemy Cheng, of this class bully. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but care man Mr. Han, who's a kung fu master. As Han educates Dre that kung fu is not about cries and parries, however maturity and calm, Dre comprehends that confronting down the bullies will be the fight of his lifetime.
