The realm of Takicardie quakes beneath the principle of the King Charles V-et-III-font-VIII-et-VIII-font-XIV, whose favourite pastime is shooting birds. His archenemy is the king's attempts to shoot at birds are being thwarted by a cheeky mockingbird, whose favourite pastime. A portrait of the king comes into life and disposes carrying his place one night. The portrait man falls in love with a shepherdess in another painting and intends to marry her.
