The Last Frontier
The tale of the Podolsk cadets' heroic stand outside Moscow in October 1941. Cadets were sent out to the Ilyinsky line, battling alongside units from the Soviet 43rd Army to keep back the German breakthrough until reinforcements arrived. Hopelessly outnumbered, boys laid down their lives in a fight lasting nearly 2 weeks to block the much exceptional German forces progressing in the direction of Moscow. Around 3,500 cadets as well as their commanding officers were sent out to stand up the last line of defense outside Moscow. A lot of them stayed there for endless time.
