The Legend of the Stardust Brothers
In 1985, Macoto Tezka (son of Osamu Tezuka, the great manga artist) met Haruo Chicada, a musician and TV personality who had created a soundtrack for a film that didn't exist: The Legend of the Stardust Brothers. Macoto was 22 years old at the time, a film student with many short experimental films under his belt but yet to make his feature-debut, and of course, the TEZUKA name weighed heavily on his shoulders. Tezka then adapted this "fake soundtrack," with Chicada as producer, into the actual film story of "The Stardust Brothers."
