An interfamily power struggle begins in 1885 after the passing of a wealthy father. To fully manage the estate of the deceased, son Ferdinando buys out his other relatives. However, Amerigo, Ferdinando's nephew, resists. When Amerigo travels to Florence and encounters the prostitute Bianca, his position is compromised.
