The Lumber Baron
Following the unexpected death of his father, Daniel Rimsdale leaves save his family from financial ruin and medical school and returns home to the Chippewa Valley to attempt to salvage the family timber business that is floundering. However, he meets significant opposition from an older friend Silas Lynch, of his dad's, who will stop at nothing to secure rumored treasure and also the Rimsdale mansion it contains.
