Nanni Moretti, who used to be a campus radical, gave up his past to become a priest. When Moretti goes back to his home village, he is shocked to see that most of the people there don't care about religion. Moretti can't talk to any of his old friends because they've all happily given in to the Seven Deadly Sins. He can't even get comfort from his own family, which is so messed up that it gives the word "dysfunctional" several new meanings.
