The Mouth of the Wolf
Pietro Marcello directs this genre-defying Italian docudrama, which follows mustachioed ex-con Enzo as he returns to Genoa after a long spell in jail, only to discover that the city he once loved has altered almost beyond recognition. But, as he searches the seaside town for signs of his history, he finds refuge in the embraces of Mary, his faithful lover and a transsexual who epitomizes the strange fascination of Genoa itself. The film stars Mary Monaco and Vincenzo Motta.
