The Onion Field
Greg Powell, also a disturbed ex con, recruits Jimmy Youngblood (Smith) a petty burglar, also as partner in offense. Once two cops for tail lights two pull over them powell panics. Powell decides to kidnap the cops and Smith goes with his mad plot. They drive out to a onion field in Bakersfield, where a cop is murdered and the other escapes. The film investigates the consequences.
