The Other Tom
Elena is a single mother who is supported by Social Services. Tom has behavioral challenges and is stigmatized as a "problem child" at school. A father who is absent further complicates an already strained relationship. Tom is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and prescribed psychiatric medication; however, a peculiar mishap alerts his mother to the adverse effects of the prescription. When she refuses to continue giving Tom his medications, Social Services threatens to remove him from her custody.
