The Raffle
After her husband's death, Francesca, a stunning woman, learns of his infidelity and the massive debts he left behind. Cesare, a solicitor, is Francesca's best friend. Following his suggestion, Francesca begins to sell everything of her belongings, including her home, jewelry, furs, and, eventually, her yacht. She is able to exist for the remainder of the year as a result of this, but she has no prospects for the future and all of her job applications are rejected. Finally, she decides to organize a lottery with herself as the winner.
