A sailor sees a student kill his teacher and decides to tell him a few stories about how he came to do that. His adventures in exotic South American ports make the boy want to go on a trip. He went to opium dens and stayed at cathouses. They meet many strange, mystical people in dark, dreamlike places like this one, and they are all very weird.
