Paylor's first book was very well-received. He is supposed to be giving away chapters of his next book. Stewart has writer's block and hasn't written a single word. Cynthia, his literary agent/girlfriend, doesn't know about it, but everyone else does. After going on vacation, he comes back to his house and finds a homeless mother, Cassandra, and her two young children, 12-year-old Jake and 9-year-old Vera, living there. They have no where else to go.
