Zoot Suit
Zoot Suit is the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed play by Luis Valdez, which is based on the true Sleepy Lagoon murder case and the zoot suit riots of 1940s Los Angeles. Henry Reyna is the head of a group of Mexican-Americans sent to San Quentin without strong evidence of their involvement in the killing of a man at Sleepy Lagoon. As members of the defense committee, Alice Bloomfield and George Shearer battle for Henry and his companions' liberation against a glaring injustice.
