A widowed father, quits his job as a 800 word columnist for a Sydney newspaper that is selling. Over the internet he buys a house onto an urge at a remote New Zealand seaside town. Then needs to break the news to his two kids who just lost his mother, now face an even more uncertain future. But the colourful and curious locals ensure his fantasy of a new start does not proceed to plan.
