Arms Alchemy
Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin, wrote and illustrated Buso Renkin, with occasional writing aid from his wife Kaoru Kurosaki. Buso Renkin ran for 80 chapters in Shueisha's shnen magazine Weekly Shnen Jump from June 2003 to 2005. Shueisha gathered the separate chapters into ten tankbon volumes, which were released between January 5, 2004 and April 4, 2006. Viz Media has licensed the series for North American distribution. Xebec adapted the manga into an anime television series, which aired in Japan for a total of 26 episodes. The series had its North American broadcast debut on the Funimation Channel on April 27, 2009. The series also has two drama CDs, two light novels, and a PlayStation 2 video game.
