Kekkaishi is a spooky comic by Yellow Tanabe. Shogakukan serialized it in Shnen Sunday from 2003 to2011, and Viz Media released it in North America. It was adapted as a 52-episode anime series by Sunrise, which aired between October 2006 and February 2008. Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, heirs to opposing kekkai lineages, must protect their school from ghosts drawn to its hallowed territory. 2007 Shogakukan Manga Award for shnen manga winner Kekkaishi.
