Late 1700s, france. Leon Dalville is really a prince who has everything - good looks, wealth and love. 1 nighttime he loses everything. His young wife passes off at a flame and the prince's face is marred. To hide his disfigurementhe also wears a mask that only partially covers his face, then turning him in to a man who is tormented by his past and hated and dreaded by all. Bella Dubois involves Leon's castle to offer her services to pay back the debts her father has the prince. Leon's cousin Helene, who has ever been with him in love, challenges the prince. But, with Bella, Leon drops inlove despite Helene suggestions.
