At August of 20XX, a portal to a parallel environment, called the"Gate," suddenly appeared in Ginza, Tokyo. Troops and monsters poured outside of this portal site, turning the shopping district. The Japan Ground-Self Defence Force instantly took action and pushed the fantasy creatures back again to the"Gate." To ease negotiations and prepare yourself for future conflicts, the JGSDF discharged the Third Reconnaissance Team to the"Special Region" at the other side of this Gate. Youji Itami, a JSDF officer as well as a 33-year-old otakuthat has been appointed as the pioneer of the Team.
