Gungrave
Gungrave is actually a Japanese animated television show based on the video game of the identical name. Toshiyuki Tsuru directs the show, from the screenplay by Yousuke Kuroda, and created by Madhouse Studios.
As they rise through the positions of this Millennion crime syndicate, the show follows Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowell.
Gungrave aired on TV Tokyo from October 6, 2003 totaling episodes. Like the Gungrave videogame, and its own sequel Gungrave: Overdose, the show' music is supplied by Tsuneo Imahori. This also includes the series' opening motif.
In North America Geneon Entertainment Pioneer Entertainment, announced the license of Gungrave At 2003. On July 3, 2008, Geneon Entertainment and Funimation Entertainment announced an agreement to disperse select titles in united states after Geneon stopped supply of their titles in October 2007. Funimation Entertainment will assume exclusive rights into the manufacturing, marketing, sales and supply of select titles while the license will be still retained by Geneon Entertainment. Gungrave was announced as one of the several titles under the agreement on December 30, 2008. By November 26, 2010, Funimation has fully licensed the anime series. The show returned on May 11, 2011 into US tv on the Funimation Channel.
