Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss one afternoon discovers that the father he had ever been told was dead had been alive and well. G ing, his Father, is just a Hunter--a member of society's elite having a license to go anywhere or do almost anything. Find his father to prove herself and gon, chose to follow the footsteps of his father, decides to shoot Hunter Examination. However, incidentally he finds that there was more to being a Hunter than previously thought, and the challenges that he must face are considered the toughest in the world.
