Kagome Higurashi is a modern day young girl who lives with her family. Unbeknownst to Kagome, she is the reincarnation of priestess Kikyo and posseses the"Jewel of Four Souls" (the Shikon gem ). Kagome finds an old well near her home also can be suddenly transported through the well and into a Japan, one ill-fated day. There, she experiences Inu Yasha, son of a strong demon father and a mother, who is immobilized to a tree by an arrow.
