Worlds collide at the Berlin dance academy "Galant," where the battle between prudence and emancipation is waged. Caterina Schöllack, the owner of the dance school, has three children whom she expects to integrate into this hierarchically structured society. Two of her girls appear to be following their mother's instructions. Only the middle daughter, Monika, deviates from the expected route and discovers rock 'n' roll for herself.
