Set in 1996 in Lincolnshire, the series tells the horrible and funny story of a rather troubled young girl Rae, who has only left a psychiatric clinic, where she's spent four weeks after attempting suicide, begins to reconnect with her best friend Chloe and her group, that are unaware of Rae's emotional wellbeing and body image issues, believing she was in France for the previous four weeks.
