One Foot in the Grave
One Foot in the Grave is a BBC comedic television series. The sitcom follows the adventures of Victor Meldrew and his patient wife, Margaret. Meldrew's struggle with the troubles he causes for himself is a recurring theme in the shows. Victor, who lives in an average household in an anonymous English neighborhood, is forced to retire early. The sitcom focuses on his attempts to keep himself occupied while encountering numerous mishaps and misunderstandings. The majority of the series was recorded on location in Walkford, near New Milton in Hampshire, however a number of hints indicate that it may have been set in Hampshire — probably Winchester. The series replaces its usual sitcom setting with aspects of black humor and surrealism, despite its conventional production.
