Pets
Pets is an adult British Army sitcom, produced by Fit2Fill Productions Limited. It was aired on Channel 4 and ran for two series, the next in 2002, and first being broadcast in 2001. It was sold to Fox.
The series was created and written by Andrew Barclay and Brian West, who had worked at the Edinburgh Festival, winning an award for an ad for The Jerry Springer Show, also on the sketch series We Know Where You Live.
A total of 26 episodes of Pets were aired. These were shown in early hours of the morning, even though it did develop a significant cult following, and consequently, the show was fairly unknown. A requirement is on the website for Pets. Finally there was a small edition DVD provided to get via the website. In addition to the two show, the DVD comprised two unbroadcast episodes, also a clip series termed"The Trials Of Hamish"along with also a behind the scenes special termed"The Making of Celebrities".
Several episodes of Pets are currently available as a podcast downloadable via iTunes. In 2010, an identical series called Mongrels aired sparking controversy between both. Even though Pets had four personalities while Mongrels had five the casts of characters inside those two shows are almost similar as well. Also, Mongrels' range of locations is more diverse, whereas Pets is confined to a single horizontal.
