The show's creators, on the other hand, claim to be hard at work on a "new and improved" series for the network based on the premise of the initial series. The Buried Life's first book, "What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?," was published on March27, 2012 by Penn, Lingwood, Penn, and Nemtin as The Buried Life. The book debuted at the top of the New York Times bestseller list the week after its release.
