The Herculoids
The Herculoids is a Hanna-Barbera Productions animated show that aired on Saturday mornings in the United States. It was developed and designed by Alex Toth. The show premiered on CBS on September 9th, 1967. Hanna-Barbera made one season of the show, but the original 18 episodes were shown again during the 1968–1969 television season. The Herculoids ended on September6, 1969. The Space Stars show aired eleven brand-new episodes in 1981. As with Jonny Quest and Space Ghost, the plots are firmly grounded in science fiction. It takes place on the planet Amzot in this series. A reference to "Amzot" was made in both the original Space Ghost episode and the series proper, "Time Creatures," which aired in the second season.
