Friends & thomas is a children's television show, that had its original broadcast on the ITV network on 4 September 1984. It is based on books by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry along with his son, Christopher Awdry's Railway Series. These novels deal with road bikes who survive the fictional Island of Sodor and the experiences of a set of locomotives. The novels were based on stories Wilbert told to amuse his son, Christopher during his recovery from measles.
