Tientsin Mystic
In the early 1900s, Tianjin (Tientsin) was frequently affected by flooding and drowning. However, when a local shipping magnate was discovered drowned and chained to a statue at the bottom of a riverbed, the police department's underwater recovery team captain Guo De You was the prime suspect, as he was the only person in the city who could stay underwater long enough to commit the crime. Ding Mao, the son of a businessman, attempted to prove Guo's guilt, but his own forensic discovery and another unusual drowning in the same area cast doubt on his first conclusion. Together with spirit medium Gu Ying and news reporter Xiao Lan Lan, they unraveled the riddle and discovered that the signs linked to an event that occurred more than two decades ago, when an evil cult was wreaking havoc on the city. Now, the cult was wreaking devastation once more. In order to halt their comeback, the team must investigate the inexplicable, mind-boggling cases plaguing their city.
