This revived short revolves round the events causing an electrical systems failure over the west shore of the US. According to the official deadline of Blade Runner 2049, this failure leads to food supplies , trade and financial markets being thrown into madness, and cities shut down. There isn't any proof about what caused the black outs, but Replicants -- that the bio-engineered robots featured from the Blade Runner, are also blamed.
