Bleach: Hell Verse
Ichigo Kurosaki's school is attacked by mysterious souls called Unforgiven (Togabito), shown to have escaped out of Hell, and Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai have been sent to investigate. Ichigo's family is targeted at the Unforgiven, who are headed by Shuren, and Ichigo's younger sister Yuzu Kurosaki is abducted. An Unforgiven called Kokut? saves Karin Kurosaki from being abducted as nicely, and convinces Ichigo to accompany him along with the Soul Reapers to Hell to save her. When they're attacked by creatures known as Kushan?da, the guardians of Hell, to the travel, Ichigo's noodle mask begins to manifest. Kokut? warns him to prevent using his hide lest he lose control and hollowfy completely, and tells him the Kushan?da torture Unforgiven because of their sins by killing them, as Unforgiven continuously revive, and spirits killed in Hell turned into Unforgiven themselves.
