Dr. Callistratus, a mad scientist who was executed but has returned to life thanks to a heart transplant, terrorizes a husband and wife. The 'anemic' Mad Scientist, thought to be a vampire, conducts blood deficiency research on inmates of a prison hospital for the criminally insane, along with his crippled assistant Carl, in order to sustain his return to life.
