Jing (Kwai Lun-Mei) is a gentle piano teacher who lives a quiet life. On one occasion, she accuses her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) of sexually assaulting her. Zhou is arrested, accused, and tried shortly after. An idealistic lawyer who entered the legal system to punish the bad, Tim (Aaron Kwok) is the case prosecutor. The investigation becomes more complex as Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) assists him. Tim soon begins to doubt Jing's story.
