Even though there are no evident similarities between Siberia and Tokyo, there is a booming model industry. Ashley, a model scout with a complicated relationship with the industry who searches the Siberian countryside for new faces to introduce to the Japanese market, and one of her discoveries, Nadya, a thirteen-year-old Siberian girl who has been flown to Tokyo and promised a lucrative modeling career in the film GIRL MODEL. Their tales are intricately linked, even though they don't see each other very often. As Nadya's faith in her ability to save her family's finances rises, so does Ashley's cynicism about the industry's destructive power.
