Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar
Gripped is a feature-length survival epic set on the side of a thousand-foot cliff in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Rose, a gym climber from Los Angeles, is on her first outdoor climb in the film Gripped. Rose falls for Bret, an experienced outdoorsman, while bouldering with her friend Jade. She persuades him, against his better judgment, to accompany her on a famous, advanced rock-climbing route known as "Killer Pillar." Bret falls and suffers a serious head injury and a torn shoulder. With no other option but to ascend, Rose must lead the ascent to the summit. When night falls, they still have a long way to go and are forced to bivouac on a cliffside ledge. The next day, as a storm approaches, Bret drifts in and out of consciousness. Rose must save both of them.
