GUNDA is a masterpiece of intimate observation that captures the unfiltered lives of a mother pig, a flock of hens, and a herd of cows. Master director Victor Kossakowsky invites the audience to slow down and experience life as his subjects do by using stark, transcendent black and white cinematography and the farm's ambient soundtrack. This allows the audience to take in their world with a magical patience and an other worldly perspective. The game GUNDA challenges us to reflect on the unfathomable phenomenon of animal awareness and to evaluate the part that humans plays in that phenomenon. Joaquin Phoenix served as the film's executive producer.
