Hotel America
When Helene, a pill-dependent physician, causes a vehicle accident and meets the groggy Gilles, a young guy who lives for free at his mother's hotel, it is while she is grieving the loss of her partner. Helene eventually becomes more amenable as Gilles pursues her romantically. But Gilles also cares deeply about Bernard, a small-time criminal who enjoys mugging homosexual men. All three of them battle with seemingly hopeless relationships.
