Twenty-five years ago, Adib, a talented young officer in the Syrian military police, mysteriously fled Damascus. He abandoned Fatima and made his way to Canada, where he wiped the slate clean. When his daughter Muna vanishes unexpectedly in Damascus, his history threatens to forcefully resurface. Adib, in collaboration with a Canadian agent, must now confront the upheaval he believed he had left behind in order to locate Muna.
