Jules of Light and Dark
Maya (Tallie Medel) and her on-again, off-again girlfriend Jules (Betsy Holt) total their car after a night of backwoods raving and teen misbehavior in modern-day Texas. Freddy (Robert Longstreet), a divorced oil worker whose stoic facade crumbles as he sees himself and his suppressed desires in Maya, saves them from the wreckage. As Jules recovers, Maya and Freddy form a bond that softens the deafening silence of their small-town existence. They subtly encourage each other to pursue what they desire the most (or at least figure out what that might be).
