Chief B (Danny Lee) is an out-of-the-box CID officer who relies on instincts rather than following procedures to solve problems. He's a down-to-earth mamma's boy, not particularly well-educated, and a valuable member of the CID. Kit (Eddie Chan) is a police officer who has recently been promoted from the ranks to CID while also studying for the Inspector's exam. Chief B takes him under his wing and assigns him to investigate a variety of gang-related cases. Chief B teaches Kit, a former by-the-book cop, a lot.
