Charlie is a professional screenwriter who is striving to make ends meet by churning out as many screenplays as he can. Erin is an actor who appears in films and theater performances in the hopes of achieving success and discovering herself in the process. After meeting by happenstance on a film set, they become fast friends who commiserate over the reality of love in their own lives. A covenant is formed between Charlie and Erin in order to create the most amazing romance they can imagine. They intend to compose their dates and perform them with all of the clichés they grew up with and imagined would happen to them. All of the amorous overtures, on the other hand, do not go exactly as intended... Nevertheless, will they uncover the feelings they may have for one other while pretending to be in a perfect love?
