Bruce Chatwin's friend and associate Werner Herzog made a final visit to say goodbye to the great writer and explorer as he succumbed to AIDS. Chatwin offered Herzog his backpack, which he'd used to go around the world, as a farewell gift. After 30 years, Herzog sets out on his own voyage, inspired by Chatwin's love of the nomadic lifestyle.
